Overview:  Strenuous hiking, river hiking and boulder hopping. Technical rappels. During the steep approach expect bushwhacking. This canyon also introduces mulit-pitch rappelling. Parties of 2-3 but no more recommended.

Approach:

Kolob Visitor Center is just off I-15, North 13 miles of LaVerkin, In New Harmony, Utah, Exit 40. Follow road to Lee Pass trailhead. Follow LaVerkin Creek trail to a small wash. Turn off the trail, left, and head to the main Timber Creek drainage. Ascend the canyon and determine if you’re going to descend the slick-rock rout (right) or the North Pass rout (left).
