Overview: Spooky and Peek-a-boo slots are two separate canyons located right next to each other. Since they are so close and they create a nice loop they are placed together  on this site. It’s a nice trip to when you can hit two very narrow slot canyons. I came here after a flash flood which made the canyon that much more interesting. First there was water. Second there were several snakes that got washed down the canyon – yes still very much alive. The scrambling and tight squeezes made it a very enjoyable adventure.

Approach: From Hwy 12 leaving Escalante, turn right onto Hole in the Rock Road. From the turn off, drive 26.1 miles to another well established dirt road on the right. Turn right and continue a little ways to the parking spot. Peek-a-Boo is just north of you on the other side of the dry wash (Coyote Gulch). Spooky is a little east. While you’re out there, Brimstone is another canyon about 40 min east down Coyote Gulch. Dry Fork Coyote Gulch is shaded and short. Explore if you so desire.
