Overview:  Weeping rock or East Rim Trail can access this canyon. Attempt if you have skills with climbing and scrambling. Difficult spots for those who are not “climbing” savvy.

Approach:

From Weeping Rock ascend the Observation point trial. When it splits take the Echo canyon trail toward East Rim trail. Head toward Cable Mountain on the Deertrap Mountain trail. Do not take the trail toward Cable Mountain when it splits, just keep following the Deertrap trail to a wash crossing. From this point make you way north to find the head of the canyon.
