Approach:

From Virgin, Utah drive North on Kolob Reservoir Road toward Lava Point. Exit Lava point and follow signs to West Rim trailhead. Begin hike at the West Rim trailhead on the MIA Road. After the gate you have about .8 mlies to an old logging road where you will leave the MIA trailhead. When in doubt just head left after .8 miles and start bush whacking until you find something resembling an old logging road (recommend to stay on social trails please).  Scramble over to old logging roads and follow downward to park boundary. 7 rappels await. Once you hit Kolob Canyon, MIA exit is just 1.2 miles downstream. Good luck finding it! A guide book with a topographical map is super useful.
