Overview: Orderville is a simple, beautiful canyon. Take the same precautions you would if hiking The Narrows from the top. Orderville is much like the Narrows only its walls are closer together. Bring a 50ft hand-line or full equipment depending on your group’s skills. This Canyon likes to change. A huge log jam in 2011 was moved several miles downstream creating new obstacles to scramble over. Make sure your group has some climbing/down-climbing skills.
Approach:
Head East out of Zions National Park to North Fork Road. Follow North Fork 11.4 miles to a dirt road on the left. There is a sign Orderville Canyon ORV area. You can continue 2.2 miles down this small turn off, but it’s only for those with high clearance and 4WD. Park here just a few yards down the road or try your luck with 4WD another 2.2 miles. Once parked follow forward where the canyon drops.
