Overview:  Cold dark canyon with technical scrambling/ down-climbing. Veers from Russell gulch. Bring a wet suit it gets chilly! End with the Subway to make it an amazing adventure.

Approach:

From Virgin turn north on the Kolob Reservoir Road. Left Fork Trailhead is on the right 8.1 miles from Virgin. Leave a car here if finishing through the Subway. After another 7 miles you come to Wildcat Canyon Trailhead. Begin hike on toward the Subway. Once you reach Russell Gulch head along the trail just a bit more then climb up to your left just before you reach the top of the trail.  If you reach the top of the climb at this point and haven’t turned to climb up along the ridge do so now! Topographical map is nice to have. Climb along the ridge and down to Das boot. The canyon start immediately. 2 hours of chilly fun!
