Overview: Hike West Rim 3.4 miles and veer right into the woods. 8 rappels drops you into the Zion Narrows. Typically dry. Open to sun and very hot during the summer season.

Approach:

From Virgin, Utah drive North on Kolob Reservoir Road toward Lava Point. Exit Lave point and follow sign to West Rim trailhead. Hike West Rim trailhead 3.4 miles just past the viewpoint. Bringing a topographic map will help.  Head east into the forest and follow drainage. Have fun! You have 800ft to the floor of the Zion narrows.
